“Deer Xing” at Foofaraw

My new story “Deer Xing” has been published by Foofaraw, yet another gorgeous website, and, my goodness, this page just blows me away!

Talk about the royal treatment: there is custom art, page design, and an audio version of my entire story that you can access from the top of the page. There’s even talk of playing cards, a collectible right up my alley, if you’re aware of my background.

I’ll spare you the background on “Deer Xing,” because Foofaraw will also be publishing my answers to some interview questions they put to me. In that interview, I talk about the story, mention some of what I’ve been reading recently (already a little out-of-date; I’m currently in the middle of Europe Central by William Vollmann), and I’ll even tell you how many times “Deer Xing” was rejected before it found its way to Foofaraw.
